FEMA Helping Chicagoland Homeowners Affected By Recent Storms

In case you haven’t heard, Disaster Recovery Centers opened today in DuPage and Grundy Counties to serve people who were affected by the recent severe storms, and flooding. DRC services include help with applying for disaster assistance and finding out about other disaster programs available from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), state and local agencies, and voluntary organizations. Perma-Seal Lends a Helping Hand to a Homeowner in Need

Perma-Seal was honored to assist with a recent home rehabilitation project run by Habitat For Humanity in Lansing, IL in order to provide a family in need with a decent, affordable home. Habitat for Humanity Chicago South Suburbs (HHCSS), in partnership with the Cook County Bureau of Economic Development, is taking part in a federal program to help alleviate the dilemma of foreclosed homes in the community. The program allows Habitat to purchase foreclosed properties and transform them into warm, safe, energy efficient homes. The homes can then be sold to qualified, low-income families who meet certain guidelines. Taking part in worthy projects such as these is an ongoing part of fulfilling Perma-Seal’s mission to help make the world a better place and to help homeowners improve the quality of their homes.
